We follow the recommendations of the National Weather Service.  This office may be closed when Nodaway County is under a Weather Warning during the winter, but also during other seasons that bring warning/watches of potential hazardous weather.

We urge all Nodaway County residents to be prepared for hazardous weather and to follow the National Weather Service recommendations for safety throughout the changing seasons.

Part of your emergency preparedness plan should be to react to information provided by the National Weather Service (NWS).  We will always be closed when our county is under a Winter Storm Warning or Blizzard Warning. Our office will generally remain open when the NWS issues a Winter Storm Advisory. Should we be under a Winter Storm Watch or other hazardous weather advisories during the year with the changing seasons, you may want to call our office to make sure we are open.
